Ned was a tiny pup when he was adopted from us 6 months ago. He even fit in a shopping basket for rides around the shelter! No matter how hard we try to stress to people that raising a puppy is a lot of work, some folks just dont get it. Such was the case with Neds adopters who lost interest when he went from an adorable puppy to a gorgeous young dog. Now he is a 8 month old teenager who needs a strong committed human who will help him get past that crazy teen time. He really tries to be a good guy, and has a great heart, but that teen energy is flowing! He has learned to sleep in a crate at night, he knows sit and he is eager to learn and to please. We have no doubt that with a patient, dedicated owner, Ned will mature into a fabulous dog. But he needs help and love to do this! Since he is young and rowdy, we suggest a home without small kids who might get accidentally knocked over. He definitely needs a home where he gets a lot of stimulation, both mental and physical, as well as love. He is 8 months old. This dog is a guest at the Mendocino County Animal Care and Control shelter located at 298 Plant Road in Ukiah, CA. xxxx2. Although our usual adoption policy is, first come, first to get the dog, we do make special arrangements with people traveling long distances, so contact us to find out how to have a dog held for you. All dogs are spayed and neutered before they can go home with you. If you rent you must have written permission to have a pet. If you live in Mendocino County any dog you have now must be licensed. Shelter hours: Wednesday: 10-7 Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday: 10-5 Sundays Monday and holidays: CLOSED Adoptions must begin 1/2 hours before closing.
